R, MoFarlane PROGRAMME. 1. Flung Handicap, 35 boys— Six furlongs ; Nomination, 1 sov ; acceptance, 1 soy. 2. Handicap Steeplechase, 100 soys, second horse 10 sovsfrom the stakes—About two miles and a half ; Nomination 1 soy ; acceptance, 2 sovs ; and2soysatthe post. 3. Handicap Hack Race, 10 sovs 1 mile—Open to horses that haye never been entered for other than hack races. Post entry, 10a. 4. L. V. J. C. Handicap, 85 soys—Second hoise 5 sovs from the stakes ; two miles ; nomination 1 sov ; acceptance 2 sovs, and one sov at post. 5. Selling Race, 20 sovs—l mile, weight for age, the winner to become the absolute property of the Lower Valley Jockey Club, and to he sold by public auction mmediately after the race. Entrance, •1 6. Native Race Handicap, 20 sovs—One mile 1 sov; acceptance, 10s. This race is only for horses owned at least six months previous to the day of races, trained and to be ridden by aborigi nal Natives. 7. Maetinboeough Handicap, 30 sovs—One mile ; nomination, 1 sov ; acceptance, 10s RULES AND REGULATIONS. The saddling bell will ring at 11.30 a.m,, the first race start at 12 noon sharp. Each Race will start punctually at the time appearing in the correct cards of the races. The flat races to be run under the Jj.V.J.C. Rules, The Steeplechase under the N.Z.CKN.S.C. Rules. No scratching of horse sallowed except through the Secretary, and not later than 30 minutes before the time of starting. All entries and nominations to be made in writing, sealed and addressed to the Secretary, entrance money to bo enclosed with color, sex, name, age and pedigree of the horse, name of the owner and colors of the rider. In case of a protest, the same must be lodged with the Secretary, in writing, within fifteen minutes after the race is run, with a deposit of two guineas, such deposit to be forfeited if the pretest is not sustained. No entry will be received for any of the races, except upon the conditions, that all claims, disputes and objections arising out of the races shall be decided by a majority of the stewards present, or those whom they may appoint. Their decision upon all points connected with the carrying out of this programme shall be final. Nominations for Flying Steeplechase, L.V.J.C., Native Race and Martinborougn Handicaps, close with the Secretary, at Martinborough on Thursday, November 101b, at 11 p.m. Weights declared for Flying Steeplechase, L.V.J.C., and Native Race Handicaps, ou Saturday, December sth, at 7 p.m, Acceptances for the same on Thursday, December 17th, at 11 p.m., at which time the entries for the Selling Race close with the Secretary at Martinborough. Weights for the Martinborough Handicap to be declared on the course after the Native Race is over. Acceptances for the same to be made 30 minutes before the race takes place. Final payments for the L.V.J.C., and Steeplechase Handicaps to be made on the course an hour before the appointed time of starting for those events. No entry, nomination, acceptance, or final payments will be iiccepted after the appointed timeunder any pretence whatever. In the event of a walk over, only fifty per cent of the stakes will bo given Horse owners should bear in mind that letters require to be in (he Featherston Rost Office on Mondays and Thursdays afternoon to catch the mails going down to Martinborough ou those days, Telegraph office open at Martinborough.
