Masterton Agricultural & Pastoral Association.
The adjourned meeting of the promoters of the new Agricultural and Pastoral Association for Masterton was held ou Wednesday afternoon. In the course of his remarks Mr Hawkins stated that the demitathm to Carterton had been treated with a want of consideration and that they had been on a fool’s errand. The Pastoral Committee at Carterton, appeared to lie excessively annoyed at the good humor of the deputation. His feeling was that they should go on with their Society and their Show, and at the same time show no unfriendliness whatever to the people of the Lower Valley. Mr Caselherg thought the reception of the deputation by the Committee hud been a very fair one. ile moved " That wo take no further action till we know the result of the meeting of the Wairarapa and East Coast Pastoral ami Agricultural Association.” After further consideration the amendment was carried, and it was resolved to hold tin nest meeting ou the ihith instant.
