PARLIAMENT THANKS THE N.S.W CONTINGENT. London, August 12. In the House of Lords, Lord Salisbury moved a vote of thanks to the Australian Contingent for their services in the Soudan. In his speech ha eulogised the gallantry, discipline, zeal, and good conduct displayed by the men. Lord Carrington, in seconding the motion, proudly referred to the patriotic z .al which had inspired the men to offer their services. The Duke of Cambridge also spoke in high terms of the Contingent.
