SPORTING NEWS. £4OOO. 320 CASH PRIZES, TENTH GRAND HAMBURG DRAWING IS NOW OPEN. To a Purchaser of Twenty-five Programmes One will bo given Gratia ■pllOM Hie undoubted popularity and great success tlicso drawings have obtained, the promoters arc enabled to bring them botore the public every two mouths. Although this Company has a large number of Horse Consnltalionists (about thirty) to contend against, some of whom under iictitious names have been mean enough to do their utmost to injure the promoters of the Hamburg Company, they cannot do so, as this Company is too well established and favourably known with the public all through New Zealand. The large number of applications that came in too late will be registered in the tenth drawing ; or if the applicant wishes, the money will be returned. The Tenth Grand Drawing for £.IOOO will close the end of August and the Eleventh Hamburg Drawing will open on the Ist September. The Tenth Grand Drawing will consist of 320 Money Prizes, amounting to £4OOO, subscribed by 8000 members at 10s each. The various Money Prizes will be distributed as follows: — 1 L3OO ;PHIZE 1 10 L3O PRIZES 1 L2OO PRIZE | 15 L 25 PRIZES 1 LIOO PRIZE | 15 L2O PRIZES 2 E6O PRIZES I 15 LIS PRIZES 100 LlO PRIZES 100 L 5 PRIZES Total amount, L4OOO. 320 money prizes, To a purchaser of 25 programmes one will be given gratis. The Grand principle of these Hamburg Drawings is that a purchaser of 25 Programmes is guaranteed a prize, and the chances are in favor of the investor drawing a large prize, as there are 220 largo prizes to 100 small ones. To an investor of L2 the chances are only t) to 1 against him drawing a prize, and the Head Prize or any other may bo i drawn by any Investor of 10s. j Read ibis.—ln Boaz’s Grand Hamburg Drawings the greatest odds are only 25 to 1 against an investor of 10a drawing nprize. But carefully note tho enormous odds against investors drawing a Horse or Cash Prize in any* of the Horse Consultations. The marbles are replaced Tor each drawing of (ho Cash Prizes, which gives the enormous odds against investors. This Company would simply ask investors to calculate the odns before placing their investments in any horse consultations; and this Company would not presume to tell the public that they have a number of chances and may win a number of prizes for a single investment of 10a. b ote—Prize Winners whether winning largo or small prizes are informed that their names will not be made public without their written consent. This Tenth Grand Drawing for LIOOO will take place under tho supervision of a committee of eight subscribers, and the prizes will be paid over as early as possible after the drawing.
