Wakelin takes this opportunity of thanking his friends and the public for the patronage they have rendered him during the past 30 years, especially considering that owing to (he multifarious businesses in which 1 have been engaged, I have not been able to give the Baking and Confectionery Department that attention which is necessary. Feeling this responsibility, 1 have sold to Mr Pasmussen, (late of Wellington, and who has been in the employ of the late Peter Laiug for the past 15 years), my Bakery and Confectionery Establishment, and am confident that the Public of Carterton will rally round him, and give him every encouragement as a thorough tradesman and new settler amongst us E.
