Taratahi-Carterton Road Board.

Tito usual monthly meeting of the above Board was held on Saturday at Carterton. Present—Messrs B Boys [chairman|, Braithwaito, Gallon, Dorset, Bunny, Reynolds, Booth and Grace. The treasurer’s report showed a credit baHuce of £IOO 5s lOdJm Bank. A letter was read from A. Clifton, objecting to Mr Eaton or the Board forming a road through leasehold land at Kokatau.

From F. Moore reporting upon Anderson's contract for Wainui Flat Road, Bridle Track, and requesting that the track be stopped for trallio during the present winter. PromD. MeLachian, offering to submit bis claim of £lO to arbitration. Claim not acknowledged.

From John Barrow asking for improvement of the track to Admiral Station, and offering £2O subscription if the Board would supplement by £-10. The matter was left in the hands of Wardeue for No 8 ward

F'rom c, B. Bremuer, reporting that he had sent in plans, Ac., for applications for £350 under the Roads and Bridges Construction Act for White’s Line. It was resolved that the portion of the Bridle traek, Anderson's Contract, be stopped

all traffic during the winter. Notice boards to be erected.

It was resolved, that the petition from Yailo Railway League be laid on the table. The clerk reported that the application for LboO for White’s Lino had been forwarded to the Government.

Resolved, that Mr P. Carr bo paid the amount of his contract, Hugh’s line in full. Mr Rossiter’s tenders of ( ,)s lOd per chain for Vils’s Road wag accepted. Resolved, that Mr Braithwaito get about a mile of bushfalliug done from native laud to Oliver’s lino.

Resolved, that Mr Gallon expend £2 10s on Daletield Road and £4 on Moffat’s line

A deputation consisting of J. T. Robinson and Jeus Josseu waited on the Board, asking for a track to be cut to their land near Vile’s road.

The Warden was authorised to expend about £2O to cut a dray track. A deputation waited on the Board, asking for certain roads in the direction of Dale-field, and their application was granted, and Mr R. Runny to spend £2 on Aharube road, nest to Cartertou-Gladstoue road ; Mr Grace to expend £lO on truck leading to native land—Wera W'hai, Tira.
