The Wool Market.

The cable messages a few days back showed a decline in the price of wool in the Loudon market. Foi ornately, the messages received on Saturday give more favorable news. We quote one of them as follows ■Wool.—The tone to-day was firm, with a better demand for most descriptions at Id higher than last sales. Since the opening of the series 31,093 bales have been withdrawn out of 232,000 catalogued.” An increase of one penny per lb in the price of wool means a considerable addil ion to *ha returns of sheep farmers both in this district end other parts of the colony. It is to be hoped that thedraproved price will be maintained.
