CHARLES PENNY, Recftou (late of Christchurch). March 17. 1831. I am happy to state your Pulmonic Elixir afforded my wife and children almost immediate relief in coughs and colds, and many to whom I have hud the pleasure in recommending your specific have spoken of it as invaluable. In one case when every remedy tried was powerless to give relief (the cough was so distressing), the first dose of your Elixir proved most effective. In another case (sore throat) a cure was an soon brought about that k he patient resolved in the future to take nothing else. Other cases could bo cited, but these will bo sufficient to show that your Pulmonic Elixir is a remedy of no mean order. From C. E. SALTER, Esq., Barrister and Solicitor, Inglis’s Building, Christchurch. March 20, 188-i. I have used your Pulmonic Elixir in my family for some years past, and have found it to bo very etlicacious in Cnest and Throat Complaints. From WILLIAM HEED, Esq,, Shipping and Customs Agent.

I have the pleasure in testifying how rapidly and effectually Baxter’s Lung Preserver has acted iu allaying cough and irritation of the chest iu the case of my wife, who has several times being under the necessity of using it dining the winter. From Dr. J. EWAIIT, M.E.C.S.L., Ac. i lam very much opposed to patent medicines gene* rally and totally discountenance the balsams, oxymels, elixirs, syrups and other emanations of unprincipled cmpincs j but I regard your Lung Preserver as a really good preparation, entirely free from those qualities which render most patent mediciues I dangerous and possessed of those tonic and stimulating properties which render it a treasure to those who | suffer from the exhausting effects of pulmonary disease and chest affections generally. In cases of asthma it , quickly cuts short toe paroxysm. In chronic bronchitis or winter cough it is useful; the discharge of I mucus is greatly assisted, and the wheezing and I difficulty of breathing are greatly relieved by it. Xu acute bronchitis it is also beneficial, and whilst it tends to check inflammation, it promotes expectoration, and thus relieves the laborious and difficult breathing so general in these attacks. As a Cough Medicine, for persons of all ages, it is excellent.
