A Dreadful Death.
A man named Cnmellatta, who was killed at the Ahaura, on the West Coast, sustained ?li -eking injuries. When the cutting gave way, the stumps and debris rolled over the at ceased, jamming his body amongst the logs .I roots iu a hollow below. He was extricated alive, but the bones of his kgs protruded through his trousers, his ears were bleeding, hi? chest was crushed, and his head injured. On being carried to his house be said, “ Ob, let mo rest, let me rest ; it will soon be over.” He expired in twenty minutes.
