TheChairmau announced that according to arrangement lie had, since last meeting, had a hoaid containing the new schedule of charges painted and fixed on the public pound at a cost of £4 lOs. This price might seem exliorb fant, but it was the best bargain he could make. Air Callister said the briars had not yet been cut down. Ihe Chairman said he hj .d been unable to secure the services of the man generally employed, and thought the matter had better stand over for a s out 11 me. Mr Calh&teymovod that Ihe s-i vices of Air Oliver’s carts be dispensed wirii, and that Air Apliu go on with the repairs on Alureton and Lincoln roads.— Carried. 1 iie Chairman thought some action sh uilo be taken to keep the heavy traffic oil the top of the drain on (he west side of t:iu main road, ft was decided to keep the !vessels on.
