Outbreak of an Infectious Disease at the Wellington Hospital.
THE INFECTION SPREADING. On Saturday morning there was an outbre .k of septicaemia or blo>d poisoning at uie Mto lington Hosii.al. The origin of the disease was traced to the previous admission of a patient suffering from puerpal fever, who died in 21 Louis. The infection winch caused the blood poisoning cases, arose fium the cose of puerpal fever. The irfecGou is now spreading and more cases of bloodpoisoning have occurred. All patients who can be healed at tueii own homes have been discharged from the Hospital in order to avoid infection. The infected cases have been isolated, bat the danger of the infection continuing ta spread in a most gtm* and imminent one.
