Wairarapa Hospital.
The committee of the Greytown Hospital, met yesterday afternoon. Present—Messrs Cuff (Chairman), Western, and Wyett. The credit balance in bank was reported as £39 8s 9d. Several accounts were passed for payment. The report and balance sheet to be presented to the annual meeting of subscribers was read and agreed to. It was resolved on the motion of the chairman, seconded by Mr W. Wyett, “That a bonus of £7 be granted to the custodian and matron to cover their travelling expenses from Dunedin.
The annual meeting of subscribers was held yesterday afternoon. Mr W. C. Cuff was voted to the chair. The minutes of last annual meeting were read and confirmed. The report and balance sheet were read and adopted. The following gentlemen were elected a committee Messrs Cuff,' Gray, Buchanan, Wyett, Nation, Sheet, Western and Booth. Messrs Black and St George were elected auditors for the ensuing year.
At a meeting of the newly-elected committee Mr Cuff was elected chairman. The tenders for hospital supplies for ensuing year were opened and considered. It was resolved that Mr R. J. Thompson’s tender be accepted. Mr Nation was appointed visitor for the ensuing month.
