RULES: The saddling bell wi'l ring at 12.30 o’clock each day, and the first race start at 12. The winner of the Maiden Plate to carry sft extra in the Produce race. The District Race is open to all horses owned in the district at least six mouths previous to this meeting, that have never won a stake exceeding £3O. The Produce Stakes is open to horses bred and trained in the district, and have never started for an advertised race. In case of protest the same must be lodged in writing with the Secretary within fifteen minutes after the race is run with a deposit of £2, to be forfeited if the same is found to be trivial or vexatious. The winner of the first day’s Hack Race not to be allowed to run for the Hack Race on second day. No person allowed to enter a horse" unless he be a subscriber of at least £1 to the Race Fund. - General entries to be made to the Secretary, at the Club Hotel, Masterton, between the hours of 7 and 9 p.m., on the Saturday previous to the races, or by letter or telegram bearing the date; entries to be accompanied with names and ages of horses and colors of riders. Acceptances for Opaki Stakes Handicap at 11-30 a.m. on Wednesday, the first race day. Weights for Hurdle Race and J. C. Handicap to be declared at 8 o’clock after the first day’s races. Acceptances for Hurdles and Handicap to close at 11-30 on the morning of the second day’s races. Nominations for the Consolation Handicap to be made to the Secretary 15 minutes after the J.C. No person will be allowed to enter a horse unless he be a subscriber of not less than one guinea to the race fund. All entries to be addressed to the Secretary of the Moiki Races, at J. Hodge’s Bush Inn, on the 19th December, not later than eight o'clock p.m. Weights for the Moiki Stakes and Flying Handicap to be declared by ten o’clock the same night.
