The pure-bred Clydesdale stallion BALMORAL Wu bred by Mr Junes Walls of Kaipoi Island, Canterbury, N.Z., and is by Old Wellington (imported), out oi Norah by Old Canterbury. Norah is also the dam of the celebrated sires Prince of Denmark and Lord Clyde. She was awarded the first prize 3 years in succession at the Canterbury Pastoral and Agricultural Shsw; and took the second prize six times. Balmoral's pedigree might be given at greater length, but J tbeproprietor believes when it is stated that his dam Norah took the Ist prize for 3 years at such a show as is held m Canterbury, breeders will be satisfied that Norah must indeed be a very high class animal. Respecting Old Wellington (Balmoral’s sire), many excellent judges affirm that his equal has not yet been seen in the colony. The Wellington stock are highly-* esteemed wherever known, it only being necessary for a seller to say hj is colt or filly is by Old Wellington to command the best market price. Balmoral is undoubtedly second to nothing in the colony for pnnty of blood, added to which he is a true type of the Clydesdale cart-horse. He is remarkably quiet, a good worker, with such feet as are rarely met with in a draught entire. i Balmoral will travel from Tanherenikau to Feathct- ' ston on Mondays; Waihengaon Tuesdays, returning to Tanherenikau on Wednesdays; Thursdays Greytown and Carterton; remainder of week at Tauhere nikau, I Mates can be grazed at 2e per week.
