Stealing letters from post office, Mr Bunny for prisoner. There were two charges against the prisoner. Prisoner remanded until Wednesday next, at Masterton. Andrew Taylor v Peter Bonnel.—Altering a cheque from £2 2s to £2O 2s, with intent to defraud. Mr Stedman for prosecution. Prisoner was committed for trial. Donald Bauer, charge with being illegally on premises. Case withdrawn by consent. Jones v Dillon.—Debt £2 6s. Settled out of Court, Jones v Tail.—Debt £1 lls lid. Judgment for 6s lid, and costs.) Kuiltimoirer v Morrison.—Debt £26 6s 6d. Settled out of Court.

A wife, who often stormed tu her husband was sitting with him at the breakfast table whep, suddenly, amid loud coughing, “Dear me,” she exclaimea, “a bit of ptpper has gotten into my windpipe!” “Hurricane-pipe, you mean my dear,” oooly rejoined her sarcastic spouse.
