MISCELLANEOUS. WEEKLY c>ALE. WOOL, FLAX, TALLOW, AHD other produce. BETHUNE & HtTNTEII beg to inform tlie merchants of Wellington and owners of Wool, Flax, Tallow, Hides and other Produce, that it is their intention to hold a public Mile during the whole season every Wednesday, at 12 o’clock noon, at the Head of the Day. Storage can be provided for 1,000 to 1,300 bales of Wool, with ample convenience for showing and selling to advantage. The lots will be put up in the order they are received into store, and wool will bo lolled and placed on show for examination one or more days prior to the date of sale. In the event of a satisfactory price not being obtained by auction, arrangements can be made for granting an advance, and shipping wool or nthor produce to London on account of the owner.

If notice is given i' proper time, wool can be in.-ured against risk of loss by live from the moment it is taken oil' the .sheep's back until it has been sold or shipped. Wool or other, Produce will be received into store at any time, and retained until the owner comes into town, or sends instructions, and while there can be insured, if de-irod, against risk of loss by lire. It is scarcely necessaiy to state that the practice of selling wool by public auction has been followed with great success in the neighbouring colonies of New jUkmth Wales and Victoria, and in the adjoining Provinces of Dunedin, Canterbury, and Auckland, and frequently results in the growers obtaining far higher prices than if they had sold by private contract, or shipped on their own account.
