New Machine-Gun.

An electric machine-gun capable of firing up to 1500 rounds a minute has been invented by Private James Bagnall, of the 2nd Battalion of the Royal Warwickshire Regiment, who is stationed at Inkerman Barracks, Woking. Private Bagnall has submitted his preliminary specifications (which, it is stated, are being sought by two Foreign Powers) to the War Office, but, being a private soldier, he finds that there is little prospect of making much out of his invention. He used to work for a firm of electrical engineers in Manchester, and when he joined the army a year ago he was given every encouragement by his major. The new gun weighs 271 b.
