RESULTS AT OTTAWA.
Sir,—All's well at Ottawa! I disagree with those who say there is too litt-e progress being made at tne Economic Conference. Have these critics not observed that the delegates were spending the week-end at most millionaire-like quarters in the pleasure resort, and did they also fail to observe that Mrs Coates was an estimable hostess? Who says they are not doing something over there? And I'll guarantee our New Zealand delegates will not lag behind and that Gordon will produce as big a bill of coses as any other delegate. Odds are that New Zeaiand will again lead the world. Think of the distinction we have gained already of sending an estimable hostess into the councils of the great.—l am, etc., FOOT THE BILL.
