LITTLE GIRL BURNED

NIGHTDRESS IN FLAMES. (By Telegraph. Press Association.) OPOTIKI, Monday. As a result of her nightdress catching fire, a little girl, Laurel Kelly, aged 3 years, daughter of Mr and Mrs P. Kelly, of Opotiki, was admitted to hospital suffering from severe burns on the body and one arm. The child was standing in front of a fire when her nightdress caught fire. Her sister endeavoured to beat the flames out, but the terrified child rushed to the door, where her mother pulled off the burning clothing. Mrs Kelly suffered painful burns on the hands.
