WAIPA RUGBY UNION. MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE MEETS. Mr G. W. Mairs presided at the weekly meeting of the Waip.i Rugby Union management committee on Monday evening. Mr R. After some further discussion it was decided to again assure the Association that the Union will assist it, with a firm hand, in putting down any semblance of rough play Players will have their attention called to the size and shape, etc., of boot sprigs as laid down by the international Rules of Rugby, viz., maximum length from sole 3in., minimum diameter at base Sin., and minimum diameter at top lin. Wearers of any studs not complying with these requirements may be ordered off the field.

Rovers Club protested against a penalty kick awarded to Rovers in the junior game last Saturday, being disallowed by the referee. It was explained that the ball was placed for a kick, but it rolled before it could be kicked; the referee ordering a scrum.—lt was decided, after discussion, to uphold the appeal, and order the game to be repl-iyed. it being based on a point of law. Actually the ball should have been replaced for kicking. The club's deposit will be refunded.

The treasurer reported that two team managers had left their gate passes at home and claimed admission to Albert Park last Saturday. This was hardly fair to the gatekeepers.— It was decided that on charge days passes must be produced at the gates, or the gatekeepers are to charge for admission.

Kihikihi Club was granted permission to play an outside team on Saturday next, that club having the bye in the senior championship competition.—lt is understood an Otorohanga team is seeking the match with Kihikihi.

The chairman reported that the Domain Board had decided to provide additional dressing-room accommodation at Albert Park.—Approved. A special committee was asked to bring down a report with a view to the safe keeping of players' clothes left in the dressing sheds while play is in progress, several instances of pilfering having been reported. The secretary was instructed to have the first-aid boxes replenished. An injured Te Mawhai player was granted part payment of his insurance claim.

Ngutunui Club was granted permission to play an outside team if their opponents next Saturday (Owairaka) notify default by Friday. It was decided to notify the Owairaka Club that failing the appearance of Tepenui before the management committee it may be necessary to deal with the club., even to the extent of suspension from the competitions.
