The heavy fogs that have prevailed during the past few days, and especiin the evenings, have been the bane of motorists, and quite a number of very narrow escapes from serious collision have been reported. Generally, motorists have been travelling at reduced speeds through the fog, so as to minimise the likelihood of accident; but we regret to record that there have been exceptions—and they can count themselves lucky in avoiding collisions and also in that they were out of sight before their registered numbers could be identified, with a view to prosecution for reckless driving.
