FATAL INJURIES
MAN RUN OVER BY TRAIN. (Bv Telegraph. Press Association.) TE KLITI. Friday. The death occurred this afternoon of Mr Seymour Tailored McDowell, who received ex.ensive injuries as a result of attempting to board a train while it was in motion early yesterday morning. Mr McDowell had his left leg severed above the knee and his right leg was badly : njure-d at the knee. Deceased was 25 years of age. was married and had on? child. He was employed by the Public Works Department in the construction of the electric power line from Arapuni to Stratford. The line has now reached the vicinity of Puketutu. on the Main Trunk line. Mr McDowell was going from Te Kuiti to his work at Puketutu by the early morning train. He attempted to board the train about 300 yards from the point of its departure.
