RECIPE FOR SUCCESS
ENGINEERING FIRM'S SUCCESS. A tribute to the power of industrial advertising was paid by Mr Frank Gardner, managing director of William Gardner and Sons (Gloucester), Ltd., at their annual dinner, which was attended by the Mayor, the members of Parliament for the city, and other eminent guests. Mr Frank Gardner spoke of the great part played by industrial advertising properly directed, and referred to their advertising agent, Mr Leonard Hill, who, during the last three years had assisted in the prosperity they had enjoyed by making what they had always regarded as a somewhat unnecessary expense prove one of the most profitable of their spending departments. Mr Leonard Hill responded, and congratulated the directors as being among the few clients he served who had their advertising expenditure for the last year or two.
