During an address to the Canterbury branch of the Economics Society Dr J. Weston gave it as his opinion that it would be some time before capital felt any confidence in investments on rural land. This opinion was questioned by Mr A. C. Bretherton (reports the Times). “I am confident,” he said, “ that if no moratorium is imposed there will be plenty of private capital for investment on land.”
