GOVERNMENT AND ELECTION. CHRISTCHURCH, Friday. "We are not worrying about when the election will come. We are going on with our job," said the Hon. W. A. Veitch, Minister of Railways, when interviewed concerning the political situation. There would be no variation in the Government's policy, the Minister said, and it was for Parliament to decide whether that policy should be carried out. TO DEFEAT GOVERNMENT. LABOUR'S INTENTIONS. CHRISTCHURCH, Friday. "There is one thing absolutely certain, and that is that the Labour Party will seize the first opportunity that presents itself to send the Government to the country," said Mr H. E. Holland, Leader of the Labour Party, when interviewed to-day. The Government, he said, should have gone back to the electors before.
