COLLISION AT CROSSING
CAR STRUCK BY TRAIN. PALMERSTON N., Wednesday. A collision between a train and a motor-car, occurred at the post office level crossing in the Square last evening. The car was badly damaged and Mr L. Brown, of Park Road, was cut over the eye by flying glass, but the other occupants of the car escaped injury. The driver was Mr G. G. Wilson, of Featherston Street, and with him in - the front seat was Mr A. E. Kerslake, of Gray Street. Mr Brown was in the rear seat. The car was approaching from the direction of the post office and had almost cleared the track when it was struck by the train. It was thrown clear and came to rest facing in the w opposite direction to. that in which it had been travelling.
