Young Jack came home from school the other day wheeling his. byke. "Hullo," exclaimed his dad. "What's happened to the bike?" " The tyre's punctuated," exclaimed Jack, woefully. "You mean punctured, my lad," remarked his sire, sternly. "Well, anyway, dad," said Jack, mournfully, "it came to a full stop."
While returning from school one muddy day, Tommy fell into the gutter, with a result that it was rather difficult to decide which was mud and which was Tommy. When he arrived home the following dialogue occurred: Tommy: 800-o-o-o! I've fallen down. Ma: You bad boy! In those new knickerbockers, too! Tommy (never at a loss for an excuse) : Boa-o-o-o! I hadn't time to take 'em off when I felt myself going!
