POWER FROM HORAHORA

DAMAGE LESS THAN APPEARED. (By Telegraph. Press Association.) HAMILTON. Monday. The Horahora hydro-electric power station to-day was generating 10,000 k.w., compared with its normal load of 10,600 k.w. It had been thought that the transformers damaged by the fire a nionth ago were beyond repair, but it has been found possible to recommission them, and now they are again in use. This reduces the estimated damage very materially. The staff v/ill complete the repairs, while the transformers are in service.
