The Te Awiamutu District. High School Committee meets this evening. Pirongia township is again to have a blacksmith’s shop, for Mr Dan Brlown, a competent tradesman, has arranged to commence business there next Monday. A telegram from Auckland states that Alfred McFarlane, aged 22 years, a resident of Mt. Eden, d.ed in the hospital there this morning as the result of injury caused by being knocked down bjr a motor-car last evening. “You are a better Prime’ Minister than you were three year’s, ago,” remarked Mr W. T. Strand to the Hon. J. G. Coates at the opening of the Moera Hall in the Hutt Valley Settlement by the Prime Minister on Saturday afternoon. “I don’t think anybody in New Zealand would be bold enough to say you were not, and that you had noti gained by your experience.”
