A SANDHILLS MYSTERY
FUJI SILK FOUND NEAR CHILD'S BODY. CHRISTCHURCH, This Day. Has a piece of fuji silk a few inches long any association with the mystery ' provided by the discovery of human remains among the sandhills at North Brighton near the spot where a body was found. There was a piece :of fuji silk'tied round the branch of a lupin bush. The view is held that it had been tied round the branch since the death of the child. The bonss found are obviously those of a small child with flaxen hair. It has not been possible yet to determine what the' sex. of the child was. An inquest was opened yesterday before Mr Lawry, coroner, and adjourned after a boy, John O. Lye, had described the finding of the body and also .the finding of a white rag tied to a bush.
