ANZAC DAY
LOCAL ARRANGEMENTS. Arrangements are being made for a united commemorative service at the soldiers' war memorial on Wednesday next (Anzac Day), which day will as usual be observed as a close holiday. The arrangeemnts arrived at by a committee representative of the Borough Council and the Protestant churches, will be much on the same lines as those followed a year ago. t There will be a procession from Albert Park, composed, it is hoped, of a good representation of town and district returned soldiers, territorials, boy scouts, fire brigades m|en, the Municipal Band, and all other local institutions and allied bodies. The procession starts off at 10 a.m., and will proceed to the memorial, where popular hymns and short addresses appropriate to the occasion will be a feature. Church choir members are asked to asisist with the singing. At the close of the service witeaths will be deposited at the foot of the monument.
