BIBLE CLASS. . . $ • ■ . (Own Correspondent).. - The members of The Paterangi Bible Class assembled i&ot Tuesday evening to meet Miss Wilson, travelling secretary for the Presbyterian Young Women’s Bible Class Union. The meetng was presded over by the Rev Mairs, minister of the Paterangi charge. Miss Wilson delivered an interesting anil instructive address cn the aims and objects of the Blbie Glass work throughout New Zealand. Mrs S. Smith spoke a few words of thanks to' Miss Wilson on behalf of thee lass. At the conclusion of the meeting the visitor was entertained a: supper by the Bible Class members. On Wednesday, Mrs W. G. Macky entertained the members of* the Bible Class at a tennis afternoon at their residence, in honour of Miss Wilson who was the guest of Mrs Macky I ,while in Paterangi. Although every day is “labour day” to tlie dairy farmer, the statutory date fixed for that day, being glorious sunshiny weather, was treated as a holiday by most of the local people. A number of tennis enthusiasts spent the day uu the . tennis courts, whilst others went Lo the Cambridge races, ifrom whence they returned, some richer, some poorer, but all happy in the knowledge that they had enjoyed a well' earned holiday. The Paterangi Acme Girls’- Club arrworking enthusiastically for their dance which is to be held in the Parish Hla'll Te Awamutu, next Weuriesday night, November 3rd. Novelty diances and jazz caps will be only an . item of the many attractions of the evening. Given a fine night the success of the undertaking is already assured.
