MAORI LAND DEAL
CROWN PURCHASES HAWKE’S BAY BLOCK. (By Telegraph. Press Association.) HASTINGS, This Day. The ‘Maori Land Board yesterday confirmed the previous resolution passe .1 by the native owners of the Pukeritiri block for sale thereof to the Crown. Next Thursday promises to be a redletter day for .the Maoris, for the Native Land Purchase Board will he paying out about £17,000 as purchase money for the block. (HaJstings business people especially are looking forward to Thursday.
