MORE INFORMATION WANTED.
(By Telegraph. Press Association.) WELLINGTON, Friday.
"It has long been recognised," states the annual report of the Internal Affairs Department, "that statistics of mortgages which we now have are far from satisfactory, but difficulties in the way of getting better figures are very real. The matter is, however, being gone into with the Lands and 'Deeds Registration Office, and it is hoped shortly to devise a Isystem of getting more accurate statistics of both land transfers and registered mortgages."
