A BAD RECORD
BURGLAR GETS THREE YEARS. (By Telegraph. Press Association.) CHRISTCHUROH, In the Supreme Court to-day Joseph McClintock, who broke in'to H. Rushworth's home at Shirley late at night on June 11th and was attacked by Geoffrey Rush worth in sensational circumstances received sentence. He handed a written statement to Mr Justice McGregor when he came up for sentence. Mr Brown, for l£he Crown Prosecutor, said QVldClintock was considered to be one of the cleverest burglars about here. It was only by luck that he was caught on the occasion of his latest crime. There were eleven previous convictions against him. Prisoner was sentenced to three years' imprisonment with hard, labour and .ha, was warned that he was qualifying as an habitual criminal.
