RIDER FINED £5. PALMERSTON N., Monday. “This is the sort of thing people in Palmerston North have been complaining o'f for a long time,” stated Mr J. ■L. Stout, 'S.M., at- the Magistrate’s Court this morning, when a young man appear-edl before him on a charge of motor cycling without a silencer. “It is time,” his Worship continued, “that motor cyclists learned they cannot go about streets almost awakening the dead.” ■A fine of £5, with costs, was imposed.
