“BLUFF.”

Betty thought, like many another girl, that the streets of the big city were paved with gold, and all that she had to do was to, go there; and get rich. So she went to New York but found that no one wanted iher fashion designs. Then she posed as another woman, and was making money, when the oops saw through her deception. Agnes Ayres and Antonio Morena are to be seen at the Empire 'Theatre on Tuesday night next in “Bluff,” the Paramount picture.

“THOSE WHO DANCE.”

A tribute to the devotion of women who will risk life itself or the living death of dishonour for the men they 'love is paid by Thomas H; Ince in his new drama, “Those Who. Dance,” a First National release which comes to the Empire Theatre on -Wednesday night. Blanche Sweet, as ;the innocent girl from up-state, who r bobs her lovely curls and puts oh paint and flapper dress of an underworld queen to save a man from the electric chair, has one of the most compelling roles she ever has portrayed. The dual characterisation gives her full scope for the dramatic ability she displayed so tellingly in “Anna Christie.” , Bessie Love plays an audacious underworld flapper role with an abandon that wins every heart, while Mathew Betz and Robert Agnew are thoroughly satisfactory in the male roles df the production. • ■ ■ ’
