MEAT PRODUCERS' BOARD.
The New Zealand Meat Producers' Board hae received the following message by cable from its London office, dated 'l9th October, advising Smithfield delivered prices at that date as follow: Prime Canterbury lamb. 29/36 lbs, 10-d per lb; 37/42 lbs, 10j|d per lb; 43/50 lbs, 9fd per lb. Second-quality lamb. lOd per lb. Other selected brands of lamb, 29/36 lbs, 101 c! per lb; 37/42 lbs.-IOJUI per lb. Mutton: Light-weight wethers, S? 4 d per lb; medium-weight wethers, 7ifd pre lb; heavy-weight wethers, 7gd per lb. Ewes. 6d per lb. Ox beef: Fores, 2£d per lb; hinds, 4:Jd per lb. The Argentine Government hae fixed tihe minimum prices for beef payable to growers. These prices are higher than present prices; in consequence of which New Zealand beef prices are much firmer.
