ALLOTING PORTFOLIOS.
Turing premier's absence. The temporary distribution of the portfolios held by the Prime Minis ter (Rt. Hon. W. F. Massey) during absence at the Imperial Confer is as follows: The portfolio of Finance is to be held by the Minister of Customs (Hon. W. D. Stewart) now head of the State Advances Department. Valuation will be reassumed by the Acting Prime Minister (Hon. Sir Francis Bell). Electoral affairs will be administered by the Minister of Internal Affairs (Hon. R. F. Bollard. The Public Trust and Stamp Departments will be administered by the Minister of Education (Hon C. Jl Parr). ~,.„.. To remove misconception that may have been created by mis-statements, it should be mentioned, that the Native Trust Department remains, as before, under the control of the Minister of Public Works (Hon. J. G. Coates). k.
