SWIMMING BATHS.

To the Editor. Sir, —I hope you will not charge me advertising rates to inquire what has become of all the agitation for swimming baths at Te Awamutu. What has happened? Surely the committee has not lost the money already raised or has it simply gone to sleep and forgotten it. About six months ago there were promises of a revival in the early spring, but the trees are now bursting into bloom and the committee remains an autumn variety. I wonder if this suggestion that now Is the time to be up and doing will do as a little fertiliser and make the committee break forth afresh and produce a carnival crop. The summer is coming and we will want the swimming baths. This summer. I mean, not next, so please Mr Committee show what you are made of.—l am, etc., DEAD KEEN.
