A DRUG VICTIM.
SUICIDE AT PALMERSTON. (By Telegraph. Press Association.) PALMERSTON N., Monday. An inquest was held to-day on Walter Ernest Hall, whose dead body was found on Thursday in a local chemist shop where deceased was emil ;,(.'d. Evidence was given that deceased was addicted to taking drugs, and that he must have broken into the shop while under the influence .of liquor. In deceased's hand was a hypodermic syringe and on the counter were three tubes which previously had contained na'rcotic, also an empty bottle that had previously contained narcotic. The coroner’s verdict was that death was due to an overdose of drugs self administered while under the influence of liquor.
