ITEMS OF INTEREST. (Resident Representative.) Mr A. H. Wallace, who lately went to the hospital, died on Thursday evening. Deceased was finite a young man and Iris death is considered ft sad loss, the bereaved wife and children having the sympathy of a large circle of friends. Deceased. when being visited on Thursday afternoon by Mr and Mrs Oudaiile, his employers, showed great vivacity and appeared to be on the mend. He talked on farming matters and testified interest in things pertaining to his employment as manager of ' Chindie.” However, at nine o’clock he died. The funeral took place at Hamilton yesterday afternoon, and was attended bv several Otorohanga residents. The exhibits of district produce for the Otorohanga section at the Waikato Winter Show have come in greater quantities than required, and there ought to he a striking exhibit of the potentialities of our Otorohanga district. It was surprising to many that green maize from Honikiwi had no signs of frost on it. Town Band Concert. The concert in aid of the Otoro hanga Town Band, though not attracting a full house, proved a success financially. This was owing to the fact that the local public appreciated the cause and bought, tickets in advance of the '-performance. The performance was framed so as not to lie too long and some of our best local vocal, and instrumental talent proved to be highly appreciated by a music loving audience.
