A SAD FATALITY.
CHILD DROWNED IN CAN OF MILK. A distressing fatality occurred on Thursday, when Freda Viola Collett, the 3£-year-old daughter of Mr J. Collett, farmer, of Eureka, met her death in an unusual manner. She was feeding skim milk to fowls out of a large milk can when, in reaching down to the contents, she over-balanced and fell into the fluid. Unfortunately there was no one about at the time to notice her predicament, and when her grandmother came up the child was dead.
