"SWINDLING AND THIEVING." "Suggestions of swindling and thieving, on the part of the employers, should not be made by an irresponsible man, unconnected with the trade," said Mr F. Pirana in the Arbitration Court, while referring to statements which he said had been made on the previous day by Mr C. Renn, of Christchurch, one of the printing union advocates. Mr Justice Frazer: I have already remarked that somewhat sweeping statements have been made. Statements such as these, reflecting on practices in certain trades, are undesirable. The proof should be before the Court.
