FORTY-FOUR SHAKES.
A LIVELY WEEK AT ORUANUI

AUCKLAND, This Day
Mr D. W. Miller, who i.s in charge of the Oruanui School, is in Auckland and states that forty-four earthquakes occurred there between July 30 and I'ast Monday. There were big shake's, though not so fieavy as some of those .previously fe't. Last Monday one shock' lasted, at a conservative estimate, for half 'an hour.
