OTOROHANGA.
(Rsident Representative.) Dr Buck, officer in charge of the Native Health Department, is in Otorohanga to-day, and busy making inspection of the different pas in and around the township. Mr A. P. Bennett, chief health inspector, was also ijiere. Mr C. H. Smith was . unfortunate enough to have his taxi practically destroyed by fire at Kihikihi on Tuesday. There was a leak in the vacuum tank, and whilst Mr Smith was endeavouring to mend it there was a sudden explosion. We understand the machine was insured in the Victoria office, so it should not be long before Mr Smith will be able to resume business.
