MEETING! OF COMMITTEE.
IMPROVEMENTS PROPOSED.
A meeting of the executive committee of the Waipa Racing Club was held on Wednesday evening last, when there were present: Messrs A. S. Wallace (chairman), S. A. Empson, J. T. Young, F. Quin, A. Bond, and F. B. Ticke>&enny. The question of carrying out certain improvements to the club’s property wets discussed, and, on the motion of Mr Quin, seconded by Mr Young, it was resolved to make application to idhe president of the Racing Conference for permission to keep next year’s stakes at £ISOO and to spend the balance, for which the club was liable in improvements. The resolution was carried unanimously. It was decided to carry out certain improvements as early as possible, including improvements to the grandstand, the conversion of stalls into twenty loose boxes, and to provide a caretaker’s residence.
