To-night at the local Town Hall Miss Margaret MacKenzie’s complimentary concert takes ‘ place and present indications point to the complete success of this function. The programme, details of which have already been issued, promises to be an exceptionally good one. Miss Margaret MacKenzie is to give several items which will doubtless be looked forward to. Miss / Gertrude Gott (of Auckland) will appear for the first time on the" local platform, and her items will certainly attract many lovers of music. Supporting singers include the best local talent and the concert will be one of high merit. There is every indication that there will be a large attendance, and that the function from ■ start to finish will be a most successful one. A dance is to be held at the conclusion of the concert programme.
