The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd., report : MATAMATA SALE. At Matamata on Monday last we yarded 630 head of cattle, and 500 sheep, which were all required by buyers. We quote : Fat cows £6 7s to £7 12s, killable cows £5 10s to £6, fresh and forward cows £4 6s to £5, store cows £3 2s 6d to £3 15s, 3-year steers £6 lOs to £6 15s, 2%-year steers £5 qs, 2-year steers £4 I2s to £4 18s, 18 months steers £3 15s to £3 19s, well-grown calves £2 lls to £3, others £l 13s to £2 4s, springing heifers £6 7s 6d to £B, dairy cows £5 17s 6d to £6 ss, woolly hoggets 15s 6d to 16s 3d, fat hoggets 18s 6d, fat ewes £l is, wethers £l 3s 9d. OHAUPO SALE. At Ohaupo on Tuesday last we had. a good entry of sheep and cattle, which were all disposed .of. Prices Fresh full mouth ewes in lamb £l'2s 6d to £l 4s, others 18s 9d to £1 Os Bd, woolly hoggets 15s 2d to 16s 3d, shorn hoggets Ils lid to 15s id, 2 and 4 tooth wethers 19s 6d to £1 Os sd, 2-year steers £4 ils to £4 14s, 15 months steers £3 5s to £3 7s 6d, fat cows £6 6s to £6 17s, wellgrown calves £2 5s to £2 15s, others £1 I2s 6d to £2. DAIRY STOCK SALE. 'We held our annual dairy cow and heifer fair at Ohaupo on the Ist and 2nd inst., when , we submitted a very large entry, comprising 342 dairy cows (ten whole herds), and 427 springing heifers. There was a large attendance on both days, and keen corhpetition throughout, all cows selling exceptionally well, also heifers to calve early, but backward heifers were not wanted. Prices : Dairy cows second to fourth calf £8 lOs to £l2 ss, dairy cows, more aged £5 15s to £7 ss, three year old heifers, with condition and quality, to calve early £8 to £9 lOs, heifers, due later £6 15s to £7 lOs, others, smaller or less condition £5 lOs to £6 ss. At Hamilton on Thursday fat ewes made £l is to£i 2s 3d, store wethers 13s 2d to £1 Is, hoggets 13s iod, ewes in lamb £1 2s, fat cows £6 17s to £8 15s, cows in forward condition £4 15s to £5 ss, • calves £l 193 to £2 14s 6d, dairy Vcows £8 to £9, bacon pigs to £2 455, porkers £l 3s to £l 14s.
