POSTMEN’S DRIVE.
PARCELS FOR THE LADY GALWAY FUND A GOOD RESPONSE. Notwithstanding' the many calls which have been made of late on the general public for patriotic purposes, the “Postmen’s Drive” on Saturday afternoon for parcels of clothing, etc., in connection with the efforts of the Lady Galway Patriotic Guild was very successful. The postal staff had the assistance of the Boy Scouts in the collection of the parcels, and a house-to-house canvass was made throughout the Borough, well on to a hundred gifts being collected. The drive was organised by Mr G. R. Drew, who, on behalf of the postal officers, extends his sincere thanks to the Boy Scouts for their invaluable help, and to owners of cars who provided the necessary transport.
